i'm hal! artist first gamedev second, whatever the hell else third. i enjoy godot, original characters, and fantasizing about learning how the play the bass. i draw and design characters written by my girlfriend, whose internet presence is near nonexistent. this is where i'd put the steam or itch.io link to our games, if we had any!

not sure yet how much info i wanna put on here. if you'd like to learn more about me, you can collect fun facts about me through my blog posts.

all the art you see on this page is of my gf's original characters! occasionally i table at art markets near me & sell little stickers of these ocs. and fanart of course.

the website

like some of my mutuals and friends, i started up this website because of the closing down of cohost, a blogging site similar to tumblr. while i had this neocities account up for a while, i only started writing this website in november 2024 - about a month after cohost went read-only. i found myself wanting some kind of similar experience, so i ended up back here! (i'm on bluesky and instagram too though LOL)

you may notice that the theme on this page is different from the rest of the website! i'm probably gonna fuck around on different pages to see what sticks. or maybe i'll just leave these be and enjoy messing around with css! i used to do a lot of css styling in forums when i was younger so i could decorate my posts - its been fun revisiting this and brushing up on my knowledge. and now that i *know* how to program i can actually make sense of javascript LOL

this is designed on my computer so that's where it looks best. though i do want to make it at least a bit responsive for mobile.
